Why
Theology Matters

“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” - A.W. Tozer

What we believe about God shapes everything about how we live. Theology isn’t just for scholars or pastors—it’s for every Christian who wants to know God, love people, and follow Jesus faithfully.

At The Bridge Community Fellowship, we are committed to sound doctrine that fuels our devotion. Right theology leads to right worship, right relationships, and right mission.

In a world full of confusion, we believe clear biblical truth brings clarity, conviction, and compassion.

What We Believe

Our Beliefs

At The Bridge Community Fellowship, our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ. These core doctrines guide our teaching, shape our culture, and unite us as a family of faith.

1. The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God—without error, trustworthy, and authoritative for all of life. It reveals God’s character, His purposes, and His redemptive plan for humanity.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

2. The Trinity

We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—coequal and coeternal, each fully God.
(Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

3. The Father

We believe God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is holy, loving, just, and sovereign over all history.
(Genesis 1:1; Ephesians 1:3-6)

4. Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He became fully man, lived a sinless life, died in our place on the cross, rose bodily from the dead, and now reigns as Lord. Salvation is found in Him alone.
(John 1:1, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

5. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates sinners, convicts hearts, comforts believers, empowers disciples, and gives spiritual gifts for the building up of the church.
(John 16:7-8; Titus 3:5-6)

6. Humanity

We believe all people are made in God’s image, yet are separated from Him because of sin. We are spiritually dead apart from God's saving grace.
(Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23)

7. Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is not based on our works but entirely on God’s mercy and the finished work of Jesus.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:8)

8. The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers everywhere. Local churches are expressions of this body, called to gather in worship, grow in discipleship, and go on mission.
(Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 2:42-47)

9. The Christian Life

We believe Christians are called to love God and neighbor, walk in holiness, and serve others. We pursue godliness not to earn salvation but because of it.
(Micah 6:8; Titus 2:11-12)

10. The Return of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal kingdom.
(Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12-13)
