5-Day Growing in Gratitude Challenge
November 23 – November 27
This Thanksgiving season, The Bridge Community Fellowship invites you to pause, reflect, and prepare your heart for the holiday. In the busyness of meal prep and travel, it is easy to lose sight of the "Why" behind the "What."
To help us center our hearts on Jesus, we are launching the 5-Day Growing in Gratitude Challenge. From the Sunday before Thanksgiving through Thanksgiving Day, join us in reading Scripture, prayer, and intentional acts of thankfulness.
The Daily Schedule
Day 1: Sunday, Nov 23 — The Source of All Blessings
-
Scripture: James 1:16-17
-
Action: Thank God for three tangible blessings you enjoyed today.
Day 2: Monday, Nov 24 — Gratitude in All Circumstances
-
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
-
Action: Reach out to a friend who has been a consistent source of encouragement and support to say thank you.
Day 3: Tuesday, Nov 25 — Thankfulness for the Cross
-
Scripture: Colossians 3:17
-
Reflection: How does the free gift of salvation change your perspective on the small failures of today?
Day 4: Wednesday, Nov 26 — Gratitude for Others' Service
-
Scripture: Philippians 1:3
-
Action: Thank God specifically for the people whose hard (and often unseen) work makes your daily life possible.
Day 5: Thursday, Nov 27 — Day of Overflowing Thanks
-
Scripture: Psalm 100
-
Reflection: Read or sing the hymn "Come, Ye Thankful People, Come" and celebrate God's provision and faithfulness.
Bonus: 7 Questions for Your Thanksgiving Table
Meaningful conversation is the best side dish. We have curated 7 questions to help spark gratitude at your dinner table this year.
-
What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
-
What is your favorite Thanksgiving memory?
-
What has God been doing in your life over this last year?
-
What is the best advice you have received this year?
-
What is the best book you have read this year?
-
If you could do any job for one day that you aren't currently doing, what would you do?
-
If you could meet your great-great-grandchildren, what wisdom would you pass on to them?
Happy Thanksgiving from The Bridge Community Fellowship!
